We would like to invite all Erasmus students coming to the Faculty of Science to study Geography or Geology to the Orientation Day on the 1st of October. It is a very important event, where you can do many of your duties and get to know other Erasmus students. You will get your ID card and other important documents that are necessary for your studies in Prague. We will show you the main buildings and also tell you more information about trips and events that are organized by our club.
Ve čtvrtek 1. 12. 2011 od 18:00 zveme na Erasmus seminář do Mineralogické posluchárny. Tento je primárně určen pro české studenty geologie a chemie, kteří se chystají v rámci programu Erasmus vyjet do zahraničí. Semináře se zúčastní fakultní koordinátor doc. RNDr. David Havlíček, CSc. a studenti, kteří se vrátili z Norska, Skotska, Francie… Dozvíte se mnohé nejen o administrativě, ale i o zážitcích a zkušenostech z jednotlivých zemí.
Join us for a hike to unique part of Czech, to the landscape of steep hills, many of them typically volcano-shaped. Not only geology and relief is interesting, but the nature there is also unique. That’s why the region is Protected landscape area. More info about the area can be found for example at the site of the Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic.
On 15th October will be held a workshop useful especially for Mgr. and PhD students named „Environmental stability of municipal solid waste incineration residues“. The course will be led by eminent European experts on this topic - Dr. Thomase Astrup (Technical University of Denmark) and Dr. Jiří Hykše (Danish Hydrological Institute).
